I really enjoyed this. I know it’s not a typical King novel. It’s not horror; it’s crime thriller. But I thought it was really good.

The three central good guys — Hodges, Jerome and Holly — are all fab, and each for their own reasons. I instantly loved Hodges. The retired cop who has this one case that he never solved, and it’s been bugging him. Someone stole a Mercedes and drove it at a crowd of people waiting for a job fair. He killed eight people, injured others, and escaped capture with relative ease.

Now, that person — Mr Mercedes, as he’s been dubbed by the media — has decided to taunt the Det. Ret. Hodges by writing to him. And so begins the game of cat and mouse between Hodges and Brady Hartsfield.

The end is super exciting. I won’t give it away. All I will say is it involves a man on a suicide mission with a bunch of explosives, and a boy band concert.

A really good read.

Fans of Stephen King. Fans of psychological thrillers.

Holly. She is an excellent character. So is Janey. She and Bill were great together.

Read the next in the trilogy.

Suspenseful, excited, sad, horrified. A whole plethora of emotions.

Stephen King. What more need I say?

It's a good, fast read.

It has some bad language that some people wouldn't appreciate. It is also very graphic in the murders that occur.
