Summary of this Book...
This is a terrific follow-up to the first book, "The Henna Artist". It is wonderful to see Malik grow up and to see that Lakshmi's gentle wisdom is still blessing her life and others around her. Through all that happens in this book: danger, death, love, smuggling, deceit, power struggles, aging, poor choices, the tone - as in the first book - is that family is everything.
I especially liked... | ||
that even though bad thing happen for Lakshmi, she tries not to hold grudges and uses her wisdom to see her way around her struggles.
I didn't like... | ||
all the information about the smuggling and the details about how the gold was hidden in the fleece of the sheep. It seemed to be too much at times.
When I finished n/a this Book I wanted to...
go onto read Book 3 in the series.
The n/a of this Book... | ||
did a great job of showing the growth in the characters. They all have matured, even Lakshmi, who is always so wise learned some things about herself and how she can change.
I recommend this Book because...
It is a great continuation to Book 1.
