Summary of this Book...
This book cements Linwood Barclay as right at the top of his game. I tore through the pages, completely hooked and drawn into this dangerous world. Thomas and Ray’s father has just died. Thomas is a schizophrenic with a delusion that Bill Clinton is speaking directly to him. In their conversations, Bill asks Thomas to memorise every single street in the world by studying the computer app Whirl360. Unfortunately, while travelling along Orchard Street in New York, he sees a woman being murdered in one of the windows. Cue: evil people who will stop at nothing to keep the murder covered up. There’s is also a sub-plot which relates to the father’s death and the events leading up to it. I won’t give it away. This story has intrigue and action on, pretty much, every page. Linwood Barclay really does lead the way in this genre of fiction. I just love him. I would have given this book 5 stars, except I wasn't entirely convinced by Thomas’s schizophrenia. I don’t profess to be an expert, but the only schizophrenic symptom was his delusion that Bill Clinton had asked him to carry out the street memorisations. But, maybe that wasnt en timely delusional. So, that leaves a character who seems to be more autistic than schizophrenic. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed this book!
