Summary of this Book...
This is a classic fantasy tale and the first in the Chronicles of Narnia series. I absolutely enjoyed this book and parts of it were stunning and amazing to read, at least to me. If I had kids I'd definitely read them this book. Though I might leave a few parts out, depending on their ages. Although technically a young adult book, I found it inspiring and totally engaging. Especially certain parts. One part (the creation of Narnia) will likely stay with me forever.
This type of Book is good for...
Almost everyone! Anyone who likes adventure, magic, young adult heroes, animals, good vs. evil, and /or a great story.
I especially liked...
The creation of Narnia. Aslan. The children's braveness. How the animals were with the magician (uncle). The funny parts. The beautiful parts. The emotionally gripping parts. The parallels to the Bible.
I didn't like...
The evil characters or the big mistake that wakened the evil witch.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Read the next book in the series, but it was time for bed. However, I borrowed it today and plan to start it tonight, God willing.
This Book made me feel...
So many feelings! Like I was there watching everything and sometimes experiencing it.
The author of this Book...
From Amazon: "CLIVE STAPLES LEWIS (1898-1963) was one of the intellectual giants of the twentieth century and arguably one of the most influential writers of his day. He was a fellow and tutor in English Literature at Oxford University until 1954 when he was unanimously elected to the Chair of Medieval and Renaissance English at Cambridge University, a position he held until his retirement. He wrote more than thirty books, allowing him to reach a vast audience, and his works continue to attract thousands of new readers every year. His most distinguished and popular accomplishments include Mere Christianity, Out of the Silent Planet, The Great Divorce, The Screwtape Letters, and the universally acknowledged classics, the Chronicles of Narnia. To date, the Narnia books have sold over 100 million copies and been transformed into three major motion pictures."
I recommend this Book because...
It was fantastic!
