Summary of this Book...
One day, a regular flight from London to Delhi results in some very strange consequences - for all the passengers it seemed have gained some kind of superpower after disembarking the plane. Nobody knows why this has happened, and many people don't even know they have powers, just that they had a strange dream whilst onboard, and now the World seems a little different. But some of the the individuals on board that flight are not good people - they want to use their power for corruption, and destruction. Two different factions form - but when everyone is a superhero, who is going to triumph, and what will they have to lose in order to do so?
This type of Book is good for...
People who like science fiction/thrillers
I especially liked... | ||
The Authors Style of writing - Samit Basu's style or writing is very original. It is very descriptive and detailed without being tedious to read (I often find pages and pages of description tedious in novels). The characters are interesting and believable. I also liked that the story is set in India, and that most of the characters are Indian, since most fiction I read is set in the UK or America.
I didn't like... | ||
The ending - it didn't really make sense to me and I didn't think it fitted in with the story. However there is a sequel which I have already bought so maybe this will make it clear?
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Visit India, and also have supernatural powers.
The author of this Book...
Has written a sequel to the book called "Resistance"
I recommend this Book because...
Even though the whole "people who randomly gain superpowers" theme has been done many times before, this book put a bit of a twist on it (some of the powers are very weird and not what you would imagine). Also it is an interesting story and fun to read.
