Summary of this Book...
This is mostly the story of Willa Lakey, with a lot of family elements and a strange romantic element. I guess it's more chick-lit than romance. I was expecting more romance or, rather, a different kind of romance but it was still an interesting read. The book is mostly told from Willa and Sean's perspective but also includes a lot of information about Willa's sister Harper, their brother Luke and his fiancee, and their dad. This is more of a telling vs a showing kind of story book but Macomber still managed to pull a lot of emotion out of me in a few scenes.
This type of Book is good for...
People who like family stories.
I especially liked... | ||
Harper's character, the strong elements of Willa's character, their dad's transformation, Sean's mom, the animals and the main town the book was set in and the community spirit at the end of the book.
I didn't like... | ||
The mostly telling element, how Willa seemed to think Sean doing his job was a character flaw and the things that didn't make sense or just were unnecessary to the story.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Cure cancer... sure wish I could.
This Book made me feel...
Sad, a little jealous... I have a family member that needs a turnaround like Willa and Harper's dad had.. it would be so nice but would take a miracle.
