Summary of this Book...
I like Anthony Horowitz's other work and when I read the description of this book, I thought it was an intriguing idea for a book. A modern day Sherlock Holmes is interesting, as is the idea of the author writing themselves into the story as a modern-day Watson. But the parts of the book where the author wrote about himself felt incredibly egotistical, and the Hawthorne (Holmes) character was unsympathetic. I'm all for experimental fiction, but this one was a dud for me.
