Summary of this Book...
While I was intrigued by the characters and the story, the actual reading of this book was ROUGH. Every chapter seems to open with an overly-technical description of a piece of tech (usually a weapon), but then the characterization and worldbuilding details are largely glossed over or mentioned in passing. The dialogue needs a lot of work, and the chapters feel like they're working too hard to intentionally leave the reader on a cliffhanger. Overall, it just didn't feel like a polished, finished piece of writing; it felt like an early draft that hasn't yet gone through a rigorous editing process.
