Nicolas is a builder and Master of huge sea going savage tugs that rescue cargo ships and such from storm damage or mechanical problems. Amongst all the action and adventure is a romance. Nicholas goes through a nasty divorce and losses most everything. He rebuilds himself, his ship and a new business. He finds romance with a beautiful, warm, passionate woman who is also very dangerous. A must read.

If you like action and adventure, this is a must read. Throw in a little romance and danger to keep you reading.

The author's attention to detail. His very detailed writing and descriptions. Plus the emotions and passion.

He goes into detailing how beautiful the women in Nicholas life over and over again. Ok, I get it.

Found more of Wilbur Smith's books. How did I miss this guy all these years?

Like I was there on the boat in rough seas, involved in the business and like punching his former business associate. Smith either knows the seas or did a great deal of research.

Wilbur Smith is a great story teller. His attention to detail, laying out the story and use of descriptions is wonderful.

His writing kept me involved from cover to cover. It is an edge of your seat read.

Get this novel and read it. Trust me you will want more Wilbur Smith if you are not familiar with his work.
