I really liked the mystery at the beginning of the book, and the idea of the world that the characters find themselves thrust into. The details, though, left a little to be desired. None of the characters were particularly memorable (which made the later portion of the book a little unbelievable considering who they turned out to be), and the ending felt a little rushed after the first part dragged a bit. It was a decent read, just not as good as The Atlantis Gene. I'll still likely continue to check out work by this author; he does a great job of blending mystery, action, and sci-fi.
