Summary of this Book...
So the whole reason I checked it out was I thought it was about vampires. I was really wrong about that.

Turns out, it's about a girl that has a unique ability to identify killers.

Basically growing up was a nightmare and she had to fend for herself. Gets gangraped later in adult life and left for dead.

Goes on to meet a guy basically for the good guys but b/c of today's politically correct world of today, he has to basically go ghost. Together they take out the bad guys and save the day. She's almost like a super hero at the end but more real life like and badass.
This type of Book is good for...
Terry GoodKind fans, anyone looking for a thriller/action packed. Anyone wanting to walk on the darker/serious side of fiction.
I especially liked...
How through it all, despite all the shit thrown her way she's still about keeping innocents safe where she can. Doing the right thing even though she can't catch a break. Who doesn't like a strong female heroine who kicks major butt?
I didn't like...
Ok so it delves into terrorism, she's after terrorists since the group that attacked her were basically terrorist trying to take out the U.S. That was kind of uncomfortable given the current environment we live in. It gets slasher-like at times when she goes after a killer. There is violence as I mentioned obviously. Not overly graphic w/assault but still get the idea and still really uncomfortable @ least for me. Again terrorism a key theme here so if that makes you uncomfortable here then just leave it alone.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Never pick it up again. But felt good I finished it even though it kind of creeped me out and made me uncomfortable at times. Author definitely kept it real enough I will say.
This Book made me feel...
Upset, angry about injustices caused by those in power who abuse it. So many things I can't really get into here.
The author of this Book...
Really kept my attention, I did manage to read all of it. But I probably wouldn't given who heavy I found the material to be.
I recommend this Book because...
If you know the author/ his previous series you might like this. If you don't mind delving into the darker aspects of humanity, knock yourself out.
I don't recommend this Book because...
Again terrorism is involved so may not be everyone's cup of tea. Reader digression advised.
Further Comments...
Didn't think I'd get this in-depth. Just wanted to make sure reader were well aware of what they were getting. Hope this doesn't ruin it totally for potential readers. Just saying, this one's a doozy guys!
