Summary of this DVD... | ||
This is the story of three brilliant African American women who worked at NASA in the early 1960's and were responsible for putting a man on the moon. Katherine Johnson, played by Taraji P. Henson, is particularly gifted at mathematics and guides the way to John Glenn's first space flight. The movie was excellent - very entertaining, well written and acted. It brings home how stupid (besides being unspeakably cruel) segregation really was - Virginia was bad in the early 1960's I guess. I grew up in Maryland and never saw the separate bathrooms and water fountains until I traveled south with my parents. Great story with very talented actresses in the main roles and a stellar supporting cast featuring Kevin Costner, Kirsten Dunst and the brilliant Mahershala Ali. | ||
