Summary of this Book...
The main character is Fanny Price. Her parents were poor so she was sent to live with her Aunt and Uncle at Mansfield Park. Her cousin Edmund was always kind to her and as the years passed Fanny fell in love with him. In the 17800's when this book was written women depended on marriage to find favourable social standing and economic security. Mansfield Park describes Fanny and her cousins lives as they followed that way of life and searched for suitable partners to marry.

When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
I wanted to read Pride and Prejudice or Emma by the same author.
The author of this Book...
Jane Austen. Her books were published anonymously because writing wasn't suitable for women.
I recommend this Book because...
It's a classic.
Further Comments...
I think Jane Austen's novels reflected her home life.
