A young boy is horribly murdered and his body mutilated beyond comprehension, leaving the town of Flint City and it's police to find the perpetrator. But when their main suspect is seen on video and with several witnesses in another town at the time of the murder, they are left with more questions than answers. Especially since the suspects DNA and fingerprints are the scene of the crime. And it gets even more curious when they find out a similar crime took place hundreds of miles away with the same outcome.
A good mystery/thriller by one of the best authors of the time, Stephen King brings back Holly (from The Mr. Mercedes series) to help investigate, and the unbelievable must be believed to solve these mysteries and stop this heinous killer.

Although Stephen King is more known for his bestselling horror novels, this dabbles with mystery and the supernatural than horror, although there are some terrifying moments in it.

The way King can always make even the most unbelievable characters become believable, as well as how can bring the characters alive and endearing to the reader.

The middle of the book. It seemed a little confusing and slow for awhile as King built up the plot and where the story was heading.

As always, wait with baited breath for his next book to appear on book store shelves.

A little disappointed. I read his book 'Joyland' years ago, and this had somewhat of the same slow pace to it. Horror and mystery, especially murder mysteries, can be mixed together, but I just don't think it's best for him. I think that's more of Dean Koontz's forte.

Stephen King is one of the best authors of the time, if not ALL time. He's written more than 50 New York Times bestselling novels and received numerous awards for his contributions to the literary world.

At 560 pages, it's definitely a page turner that you can't put down.
