Summary of this Book...
I first discovered Gregg Hurwitz through his Orphan X series, which is easily one of my favorite thriller series in recent years. I enjoyed it so much that I've started reading his back catalog of standalone thrillers which are decent but aren't quite as good. This one is about a failed screenwriter who begins receiving DVDs in the mail with surveillance footage of himself. While the premise was intriguing (and I won't spoil the ending), I thought the reveal and the ending we're a little too over the top. It went from being a tight, small-scale thriller to a big grand conspiracy which didn't feel authentic. That said, Hurwitz is a great thriller writer and even his less successful stories like this one are well-written, well-paced, and engrossing.
