Summary of this CDs & Vinyl...
I am a huge fan of Linkin Park since this very first album. I remember I was in highschool back then, when I first heard and saw them on German MTV. I was already into rock and bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Green Day, Red Hot Chilly Peppers, Korn, Foo Fighters, Metallica but Linkin Park was like some sort of new blood because of their music style. Up until then, the world was still, sort of, "recovering" from Cobain's suicide in 1994 through his legacy- Grunge- and I think with new millenia and Linkin Park it was time to experience something completely different. Combination of rap metal and alternative metal implemented in Hybrid Theory started new wave of rock music, adopted by new generation and brought Linkin Park nomination for 2002 Grammy Award for Best Rock Album and a mention in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die. The album has sold 30 million copies worldwide. Proof that Hybrid Theory was full success are songs that are considered as number one hits to this day. Songs like 'In The End' which achieved mainstream popularity became Linkin Park's trademark and was the most played song in all of band's live performances. Then 'One Step Closer', 'Papercut, 'Crawling', 'Points of Authority' which were always popular on every concert in years after.

Releasing stress. Hybrid Theory is soundtrack to universal feelings, emotions and experiences that many people can relate to. In combination to Chester's brilliant voice, Mike's rapping and metallic sound in the background makes you want to scream it all out.
I especially liked... | ||
Chester's voice. Dude was a beast like no other. He was able to scream in one moment and sing low scales in the next one. He's like a God of vocals to me.
When I finished n/a this CDs & Vinyl I wanted to...
Go to their concert. Back in 2000 Germany had awesome music project called 'Rock Am Ring' music festival. They still have it but the only reason I remember my obsession by such festival back then is because Linkin Park. I remember I couldn't wait to come home from school, turn on the TV and wait for live transmission. Youtube didn't exist back then and the only way to watch and listen to your favorite music bands were live concerts and if you buy their CDs. Seeing Linkin Park in 'Rock Am Ring' was a dream of mine because there was no easy way for me to do it since it was hard to manage visas and the trip required money I didn't have. With Chester's suicide earlier this year that dream will never come true. Youtube has links to their full concerts that I watch even today. Linkin Park, live at Rock Am Ring 2004 . The one from 2004 is my personal favorite.
This CDs & Vinyl made me feel...
Like I can relate to everything they sang about even though I haven't been through any of this experiences. Hybrid Theory mostly focuses on Chester Beninngton's experience with drug and alcohol abuse, child abuse as well. People who have never been in these situations are able to recognize and understand it in his voice and everything Hybrid Theory is.

Chester Bennington- lead vocals. Guitarist, Brad Delson said he was the final piece of the puzzle for the band. Mike Shinoda- vocals, rhythm guitar, keyboard, piano, samples, programming. I recommend this CDs & Vinyl because...
Linkin Park is unique band. 90's had Nirvana and Soundgarden and Green Day and Red Hot Chilly Peppers. All of these bands are derivative of each other in some way. Linkin Park started completely new wave, they did have hiccups regarding their style in later albums but they kept some kind of base of the band which couldn't be copied and played by anyone else.
