Summary of this Book...
Last spring, Nikki Beckett vanished, sucked into an underworld known as the Everneath. Now she’s returned—to her old life, her family, her boyfriend—before she’s banished back to the underworld . . . this time forever. She has six months before the Everneath comes to claim her, six months for good-byes she can’t find the words for, six months to find redemption, if it exists.

Nikki longs to spend these precious months forgetting the Everneath and trying to reconnect with her boyfriend, Jack, the person most devastated by her disappearance—and the one person she loves more than anything. But there’s just one problem: Cole, the smoldering immortal who enticed her to the Everneath in the first place, has followed Nikki home. Cole wants to take over the throne in the underworld and is convinced Nikki is the key to making it happen. And he’ll do whatever it takes to bring her back, this time as his queen.

As Nikki’s time on the Surface draws to a close and her relationships begin slipping from her grasp, she is forced to make the hardest decision of her life: find a way to cheat fate and remain on the Surface with Jack or return to the Everneath and become Cole’s queen.
Further Comments...
I read this book in maximum four days. It was interesting and the characters were really intriguing. Brodi Ashton has a great way with words and I love her way of phrasing, sentence structure and character sketches. The way she came up with Cole, Becks and Jack was amazing.

At the beginning of the book, I was quite confused. I had no idea what was going on and that was what made me grasp the book and read it attentively and that's what I did. As the book moved forward, providing more and more information which cleared my confusion. I loved what each of them said and how Brodi showed the emotions that Jack had been going through and the reason why Becks came back.

I completely loved Becks and Jack and their scenes. They love each other yet Becks stay away from him just for his sake and in the end they do come back together. The emotions were definitely there and I loved how Becks and Jack came together in the end. Their talk in the beginning was confusing but as mentioned, I did clear it out after reading the rest of the story. Their complications, Becks problems and how everyone thinks she is on drugs but no one really knows what she has been through.

The relation that Brodi put with what happened with Becks to the Greek mythology was simply amazing. Although I don't know much about mythology but I enjoyed it.

The ending made me really emotional and I was sad, but I am really grateful that Brodi left a hope there and immediately after knowing that there is a chance at happy ending, I downloaded the next part and transferred it in my iPad and will be reading it tonight *Smile*

Now here's the bad news. The ending made me sad and I felt shocked when Becks was feeling not a lot bad after Jack had disappeared. I mean of course, Brodi might want to show that she knows she can get him back but you have to show the readers - us - that there is hope and she does feel something. There are parts written where she sees him every night and feels empty but it seems like her love for Jack was fake at the end, it wasn't really realistic.

Also, the ending was quite fast paced. The whole book was in 80% and the last was in like 20%. I think that the beginning and the book before the last few chapters should have moved quickly and it seemed like it had been forcefully stretched. Other than that, the information about the Queen, the people of Everneath was missing though it was mentioned in the book at several instances.

Nevertheless, I enjoyed reading this book and I look forward to the next parts *Smile*
