Summary of this Book...
I have a rule about reading fiction. If after about 50 pages, I do not care what happens to the characters, I quit reading and take it to trade in at the used book store. This book is going to that store after I gave it 70 pages. I found some of it repulsive where one of the characters seduces someone young enough to be her great grandson. I found that revolting and grotesque. I also thought there was a lot of self conscious attempt to be descriptive that left me not quite able to picture what the author wanted me to see. I don't care what happened to Lulu and Gerald. She sounds like whatever it was, she deserved it. On to the next book for me. This was a waste of time and money. I did not enjoy it much and I spent too long (2 hours plus) reading the thing. I didn't want to continue the next day. So, away with this one!
