A good, long cry. | ||

Brie Larson and Jacob Tremblay are very dedicated to their roles. It's easy to get lost in this movie and forget that they're acting. Though the movie is gut-wrenching, there is an artistic approach in the way Jack narrates certain thoughts and in how some of the scenes were shot.

I recommend this DVD because...
Though this is incredibly sad, it affected me in a way that I will be thinking about the scenes for a long time. I do not wish to give any spoilers, but there is an unforgettable scene involving a rug which will stay with me for years to come.
Further Comments... | ||
Parts of this are extremely difficult to watch, but the love that Ma has for Jack, what she is willing to endure, and sacrifices she makes for her son are selfless. This movie broke my heart several times and then stitched it back together again.
