I especially liked... | ||
The author, Nora Roberts, can be relied on to put out a well written novel. This is an easy read although it covers some tense and suspenseful moments. It throws in enough romance to keep every fan happy.
I didn't like... | ||
I had trouble with the many different plot threads this book took on. It felt there was one tone when the action was dealing with the hostage and crime sections of the book and another for the romantic, relationship scenes. Phoebe would switch from hard as brass to soft as mush and the dividing lines were apparent. It was too long, the suspect changed to someone the reader was not introduced to the book until half way through, too much backstory too late and new information piled on when it wasn't necessary.
This Book made me feel...
I didn't think it was one of Nora Roberts better novels. It got tedious and too many times I didn't believe the words out of some of the characters mouths. This happened mostly in the romantic scenes when everyone behaved so over the top.
Further Comments... | ||
This book has a mix of crime suspense and romance. I thought the division between them were too glaringly different in the actions of the characters but it was an easy read.The characters were good and plots believable. There was too much happening all the way around. If some of the story was trimmed back it would have been a much better book.
