I especially liked... | ||
Friends, family, and magic are a good combination and the author presents it in a way that readers this age will find interesting. There is an ease to the book with enough interest in the varying complexities of family and friends, jealousy, competition, perseverance, and lots of magic! The author, Diana Lopez, did an excellent job of being able to establish a friendship story while intertwining the complexities of the three boys family dynamics along with their nerves, skills, and expenses of each boy to enter the competition. She did so in such a way that for the middle school level reader that is authentic for the age. She included an abundance of magic procedures all throughout that might have readers trying on their own. | ||
