Summary of this Book...
McToad mows the big island every other day of the week. On Thursdays, he mows Tiny Island, which involves a truck, a train, forklift, airplane, baggage buggy, a helicopter, a boat, and a crane, just to put the lawn mower onto Tiny Island. There McToad mows, drinks some lemonade, and then begins again, only in reverse order beginning with the crane. McToad's favorite day of the week is Thursdays.
This type of Book is good for...
Ages 4 - 8 | ||
I especially liked... | ||
The illustrations are amazing!
This Book made me feel...
I felt the steps through all the machinery was a bit tedious, but that's not to say boys (and girls, too) will feel the same way.
The author of this Book...
Tom Angleberger likes Thursdays, but not mowing. He is also the author of the "Origami Yoda" series and lives in Virginia with his family. The illustrator, John Hendrix, likes Thursdays AND mowing. He lives in Missouri with his family.
I recommend this Book because...
Boys will definitely like all the machinery. The illustrations themselves are well worth browsing through.
