Summary of this Book...
A new version of the popular nursery rhyme, Baa Baa Black Sheep. This book is both cute and amusing. As the black sheep gives and gives each time the little girl asks for more, it finally comes to the point where there is no more wool. That's when the little girl gives back to the sheep.
I especially liked... | ||
I loved the illustrations! There is a string of yarn that blends into each page, continuing from beginning to end. I also liked that other nursery rhyme characters were included throughout the story.
I didn't like... | ||
Don't get me wrong, this is a great book... I did feel, however, the rhyming wasn't always spot on, like you might expect it to be since it was published through a traditional publishing house.
The author of this Book...
Jane Cabrera has written many books for children inspired by her favorite nursery rhymes. This is the first one I've read and I'll definitely check out her others.
I recommend this Book because...
It's a sweet story. I enjoyed it very much. I also felt the author was quite crafty (no pun intended) with the story-line. The illustrations complement each and every page.
