Summary of this DVD... | ||
This is the second season DVD of the show, DCI Banks. We watched it on Netflix. It is about a compassionate and emotional Deputy Chief Inspector, who works homicide in Cornwall. The woman who played his partner leaves to have a baby and Helen Morton (portrayed by Caroline Catz, who also plays Louisa on Doc Martin) comes in as his new partner. She is a welcome change as these two have irritating chemistry that Stephen Tompkinson did not have with Annie. They work on solving cases and get to know each other. Banks tries his best to get Helen to open up and be more personable. She is a no-nonsense, by the book type of person and he is quite the opposite. In one case, this season, Banks' own brother is murdered and Helen is challenged to have some compassion and understanding that she otherwise lacks. I enjoy it more with Caroline Catz in the mix, that's for sure.
This type of DVD is good for...
anyoone who likes a gritty detective drama with a little bit of weird humor thrown in now and then.
I especially liked... | ||
Caroline Catz with Stephen Tompkinson. They are good together.
I recommend this DVD because...
it is different from most other dramas in that the lead actor is a very emotional person. It makes it different and interesting to watch. I enjoyed it.
