Summary of this CDs & Vinyl...
This album is the one I am using for Musicology Anthology. It was ranked #1 as the greatest album of all time in Entertainment Weekly Magazine. I don't know about that assessment, but it is a great collection of what made the Beatles (all of them) Master Storytelling songwriters and singers. Every one of them is featured here, even Ringo with his classic vocals on "Yellow Submarine". George Harrison shines with "The Taxman". John Lennon's best vocal is "And Your Bird Can Sing," and Paul McCartney's haunting "Eleanor Rigby" takes the cake. All of the songs are classics. If I have to pick favorites, it has to be quite a few of the songs. "Eleanor Rigby", for one. There there is "I'm Only Sleeping", "And Your Bird Can Sing", "Here, There and Everywhere"... You get the picture, hopefully. There are too many classics here. This is too much album for one disk. How many times can you ever say that with music. Oh, and I almost forgot "Good Day Sunshine" and "Got to Get You Into My Life." How about those. Great music, great storytellers, great album. Maybe the greatest ever, but the Beatles did so much great stuff it's hard to quantify it all.
