Summary of this DVD... | ||
A film by the Pang brothers, The Eye 2 is the original Thai version of the U.S. Jessica Alba film that failed miserably. Pregnant Joey attempts suicide, but is un-thankfully brought back by medical staff. Apparently while teetering between life and death, Joey develops the ability to see the dead - more precisely, the dead seeking to be reincarnated. Joey's lover, Sam, is dealing with his own crisis - his wife committed suicide at the exact same time Joey failed. She had found out about Sam and Joey, and could not bear it. For some strange reason though, Sam does not tell Joey about this until the end of the film. This movie, like all other Asian horror films I have seen, is super-creepy and had me on edge throughout. There are English subtitles, but there is English spoken through most of the movie. This did not take away from my experience. | ||
