Summary of this DVD... | ||
When outsider Beca is given an ultimatum by her lecturer father - if she tries out a college social group for a year he will pay for her to live in LA and follow her dream as a music producer - she ends up joining "The Bardon Bellas", an all girl a cappella singing group whose leader dreams of them winning the most prestigious competitions. At first Beca is a reluctant member of the all girl group, but soon finds herself making friends with the odd mixture of singers and wants to win just as much as they do. "Pitch Perfect" follows the story of The Bellas as well as their rival group, "The Treble Makers" through their highs and lows, friendships, arguments and relationships right to the A Cappella college finals!
This type of DVD is good for...
A lazy Saturday night in when you want to watch a "feel good" film or for a group of friends to get together and have a laugh and a sing along!
I especially liked... | ||
The singng as I'm a fan of musical theatre. It was also quite funny in many places - many of the characters are very bizarre but it makes a change from many American high school movies full of the same old characters. My favourite character in the film is "Fat Amy" played by Rebel Wilson.
When I finished viewing this DVD I wanted to...
Sing a song! | ||
I recommend this DVD because...
It's a fun and lighthearted film to watch with no difficult plot to follow or traumatic events to think about, however the quirky characters and the music stop it from being dull or tedious. Of course a liking of musicals is probably essential for anyone who is going to enjoy this film!!
