In L.A., Jack is already deep into the investigation of a multimillion-dollar gambling scandal and the unsolved slayings of eighteen schoolgirls when he learns of a horrific murder close to home: his best friend's wife, Jack's former lover, has been killed. This type of Book is good for...
Those that like books based on PIs, solving crimes, PIs working with the police(!) solving serial killings and covering up the odd murder.
I especially liked... | ||
There was a lot going on, with Jack working three cases at the same time, yet somehow everything was easy to follow. It showed how busy Jack was and it seemed to be somewhat realistic, or as realistic as something like this can be!
I didn't like... | ||
One thing I've noticed, and I'm pretty new to reading crime books, is the fact the main characters are always called Jack, maybe it's a weird coincidence. I've read a grand total of 5 crime books now, and 4/5 have had main characters called Jack. It's a little weird.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Buy the next one. And I'm definitely going to.
This Book made me feel...
Tired. Simply because I was reading it until I finished it at 2am. I didn't want to put it down!
The author of this Book...
