I recently purchased this DVD from the $5 bin at Walmart. Once I started watching the trailers and realized it was a Lifetime movie, I didn't expect much. Sure, they have some decent movies, but nothing spectacular. I was very mistaken. It is adapted from a short story by Stephen King, and they did well in their attempt at keeping it authentic.

This film is well directed, action-packed and keeps you guessing til the end. Its sad, because of what the guy did to Tess, an author on her way back home from a book-signing, but there are comical parts when she is having conversations with her GPS, "Tom," and a character from her book series, played by Olympia Dukakis.

After being viciously attacked, Tess is ashamed to go to the police for fear that her fans might believe she provoked the attacker. Instead, she decides to get her own revenge against the truck driver and the one who set her up (I won't spoil it for you - the movie is too good).

Fans of Stephen King, suspense movies and overall anyone who enjoys a good film.

The determination of Tess, not to let this monster who left her for dead get away with his horrendous acts.

I was well pleased with the ending. Bravo.

Anger at this fiend who hurt Tess, and satisfaction at how she got her revenge.

Was perfect. Maria Bello was excellent as Tess, Dukakis was funny and to the point as Doreen, a character in Tess' book series, Joan Jett as a local bartender with a story of her own, and especially Will Harris who has the sinister look of a psyhcopathic monster.

It is compelling, from start to finish. My cousin, who watched it with me, never stays awake all the way through any movie - but she did this one.
