Summary of this DVD...
This is a movie about a struggling folk singer, who has no home of his own in New York in the 1960's. This fellow lives from time to time in the apartments of various friends and strangers. This is a quirky Coen Brothers film (they made Fargo).

Lleywn basically lives his life in a pattern. He has some talent, but not enough to get him anywhere, so he does the same thing (with little to no variation) over and over again throughout the film. He does travel to Chicago, but that doesn't really break the cycle he is on.

There is a back story about a lost cat that is more interesting than the humans.
I especially liked...
the music and the cat. The story is kind of boring and the main guy is someone I just wanted to slap and yell at to straighten up. He has some ability, but very little common sense. I liked the way he (at times) seemed to care so much about the cat. When he didn't care it made me dislike him intensely.
The cast of this DVD...
is very good. Justin Timberlake and F. Murray Abraham are in it, along with John Goodman. The title character is played by Oscar Isaac, who is very convincing in the role.
I recommend this DVD because...
of the music. If you like folk music at all, there is plenty of good stuff in here to listen to.
Further Comments...
I wasn't crazy about the plot, but I did watch it all the way through so I guess that is something. Yup, it is for me these days because most of the movies I see are not very good stories.

This was an okay story, with great music and some quirky plot twists and a good cast. So, it was better than most.
