Wrath is the blind king of the vampires who is unwilling to step up and be a king. He serves as a warrior and defends the race from the soulless lessers. When one of his warrior brothers, Darius dies, he has to find his half blooded daughter, Beth, and help her through her transition. Beth changes him - gives him a reason and a meaning to be the rightful king.

J R Ward is one hell of an author - she'll always be my inspiration. She's created a compelling, addicting, dark world complete with its own language and religion. She has a fresh spin on everything and it made me recover from my Twilight nightmares - this is dark fantasy the way it's supposed to be written.

A mature audience - she swears quite a lot.

Everything! There isn't a single part of this series that disappointed me. Characterisation, plot, dialogue - five stars for it all.

Has written quite a few romance novels under other pen names. But this is my favourite series of hers.
