Summary of this DVD... | ||
This is the movie based on the Novel about a woman who goes missing. Her husband, who is not what he seems, is suspected and accused in her disappearance by a rabid media presence that just won't quit. Neither the husband or the wife are who or what they seem in this. I wasn't happy with the book at the end, and I had the same problem with the movie, although Ben Affleck gives a fine performance. The woman who plays the wife is Rosamund Pike and she is okay, but not as good as Affleck, which is weird because she is nominated for an Oscar and he isn't. Go figure. Tyler Perry is very good as a slick lawyer, who is hired to defend Affleck's character and Neil Patrick Harris also puts in a good performance as the ultimate victim.
This DVD made me feel...
the same way the book did, which was unhappy with the ending. It is a gripping and engaging story that, to me, sort of falls apart at the end as if the writer didn't know how to end things.
The cast of this DVD... | ||
is good except for Pike. I didn't care for her performance.
