Summary of this Book...
This book is the second book of the Maze Runner series. Like the first, it focuses on a group of teenagers in a dystopian world who are being tested and tried through a series of tortures. Their memories are gone, and all they know are their names and what they went through in the Maze. Now they have to face a whole new test in the Scorch plains. Their reward? A cure for the disease that is ravaging the world.
I didn't like... | ||
How confusing, repetitive, and sometimes annoying this book was. Some parts were good, but others just made me want to rip out the pages (unfortunately I am borrowing the book so I can't do that ). Anyway...
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Read the next one in the series not because this book was fantastic, but because I can't stand to leave a story unfinished.
The author of this Book...
Has a very strange writing style. It's very curt and short. Description is certainly not his forte, but the most annoying thing is how he repeats himself over and over again. Enough Already! I've heard this part a million times before! I will say, however, that he is good at keeping up the action.
I don't recommend this Book because...
It is not the new Hunger Games that everyone is looking for. It's definitely not as good, and, I think, targets a different audience. There is less of a "WOW!" factor, and the only emotions I experienced during this book were grossed out thoughts and disgust with some of the characters.
Further Comments... | ||
I would rate this 13+ for some gruesome images and one girl who gets a little too "cuddly" for me.
