A Swiftly Tilting Planet

I love the element of fantasy Madeleine L'Engle has put in this book. In The Swiftly Tilting Planet, or planet is on the brink of destruction and Charles Wallace goes back in time to prevent it. He doesn't just go back in time. He doesn't go as himself. He enters into the lives of folks who lived in earlier t times. Gold whose family pay a profound role in the pending disaster.

I am writing this review at Thanksgiving time and this story begins and ends at the same time.

It is fun for me to read as I go with Charles Wallace into these lives - some fun, some dangerous, some handicapped. Living lives different from my own and yet experiencing the emotions common to us all.

I think this is my second favorite of this series.

I am asking an explanation to ask the product reviews I am working on today (November 28, 2014).

I am writing as a Nano Rebel. I have chosen to write reviews and product reviews as my Nano project for 2014.

At this point, I am in danger of not reaching the goal of 50,000 words. This is my fourth year as a Nano Rebel. The other years I have done less organized things AND in previous years, I was faithful to write almost every day. This year, I started late and had many days I did not write a word so her I am at the end trying to do it all in a few days. I have switched now to the product reviews because I can wait till after the end of the month to edit them and I don't have to read anything before I write them since I am writing about books I am very familiar with. The reviews required reading and reading items as well as correcting mistakes before sending it off. Writing those was fun but took too much time for me to complete for me to be able to reach the magic number of 50000 by midnight on the 30th. So here I am.
