Summary of this Book...
The Voyage of the 'Dawn Treader' NOTE: This review is a WORK IN PROGRESS. Please see the comment section below so you will understand why this section may have typos and such at this time. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is my favorite of C. S. Lewis's Chronicles of Narnia. Would it not have been wonderful to have been a child in his life as He was writing these. I have shared the Chronicles of Narnia with my children and my grandchildren. I am on the verge of sharing them with some children in my neighborhood. I am not really sure why this one is my favorite but it is. So much do that I was VERY disappointed in the movie. I don't understand why the movie makers felt that Lewis's story needed to be changed. The original story of the Voyage of the Dawn Treader is exciting and filed with adventure, humor and life lessons. Eustace is a little turd at the start of the story. Through his adventures we see a changed life. His experience with learning humility and his dependence on Alan is a reflection of the changes we need in our own lives and our dependence on Christ for those changes. This was the only thing I liked about the movie, they did a good job creating that character on the screen. If to have seen the movie but not yet read the book, you really NEED to read the book. There is something about The Voyage of the Dawn Treader that makes it a feel good book. It is a nice world to escape into! In the book, Caspian, Edmund, Lucy and Eustace visit several islands in search of the novels who had been friends with Caspian's father. The lords. Reepacheep is in this adventure. It is the last adventure he is in. The end of the story is moving.

The first thing I want to put here is an explanation of what I am doing here in this product review today (11/28/2014). I will just be free-writing right now. I won't be making corrections. In fact, I will be using Swype to write and may not even catch it if Swype puts in the wrong word. I am new to using Swype but I think it is my best chance of winning Nano this year. By the way, all this writing is being done on my phone, my android phone, or on my Kindle. I was able to reach my goal using my phone in 2013 but this year I got a very late start and even then was not able to write every day even when I did get started. In each product review I will use this section of the review to offer some expansion of what I am doing and then I will use the Sunday section primarily to simply write about the book. Asian, it will be free-writing with the intention and hope of polishing it up later. I am pretty sure at this time I will only be writing reviews for books I recommend.
