Summary of this DVD... | ||
A young girl gets pregnant in 1950's Ireland. She goes to live in a convent, where the nuns sell the children to rich Americans. Then, the nuns do everything in their power to hide the identity of the mothers from the children and vice versa. This is about a mother, Philomena, who goes to search for her son Anthony, with the help of a journalist. It turns out that Anthony is a high level government advisor in the U.S. who was gay and who died of AIDs. This is the story of the search for the truth and some monstrous Catholic nuns. It is a true story.

When I finished viewing this DVD I wanted to...
really yell at a bunch of nuns but this lot is so self-righteous that they wouldn't care. Shocking!
