Summary of this Book...
Jack Reacher finds a personal ad in a military paper that speaks to him. He knows it is an attempt to bring him back to the military but he doesn't know why and not sure he should respond. He also knows he will answer the call because the person that placed it can't be ignored due to the personal history they shared.
This type of Book is good for...
This is a good military, sniper killer mystery. Jack Reacher is a complete loner, ex-military MP with a wit and habits that don't change.
I especially liked... | ||
I like the idea of being able to read a series and already know the character in the book. It can be comfortable to revisit and see what they might do next without having to find out who they are all over again.
I didn't like... | ||
Maybe I should stop reading series when they get over 10 novels. This is #19 in the Jack Reacher series and as much as I have liked this character, he isn't doing much anymore and, let's face it, in real life things change. He doesn't and it's too predictable.
The n/a of this Book... | ||
Lee Child is the author of this series and has created a very individual character.
Further Comments... | ||
There was plenty of action in this novel. The main character stayed true to who he was but it seemed very flat-lined to someone who has read the entire series. I would have liked to see the character have some type of progression in his feelings and actions. I know some of the charm of Jack Reacher is his habits but even those in this book seemed dull. What happen to the charm? It was missing.
