There was a new book I saw about Jay Leno's show, but I saw this one and got it for my Kindle because it was more reasonable.

No one will ever replace Johnny Carson as the best late night host in my books.

I enjoyed this warm hearted peek behind the scenes at the band and some of the memorable celebrity guests. The author is a drummer, so there is more emphasis on music and musical guests than I would have liked.

But it is an interesting book and the author is very respectful of the celebrities he met along the way over the many years he worked in his dream job for Johnny Carson.

anyone interested in the behind the scenes life at The Tonight Show during Johnny Carson's reign and the beginning of Jay Leno's.

the fact that the author never lost his admiration for Mr. Carson. That says a lot to me.

does a good job.
