Summary of this DVD... | ||
Sherlock Season 3 contains three episodes: The Empty Hearse, The Sign of Three, and The Last Vow, as well as three featurettes.
This type of DVD is good for...
Fans of Sherlock will most likely love Season 3. If you haven't seen the previous seasons, it is strongly advised to start with them. While you can still understand what's going on, you may not fully appreciate the emotional aspect and continuity without seeing them.
I especially liked... | ||
I especially liked all the moments that seemed like they were added for the fans. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but there were a lot of great moments in these three new episodes.
I didn't like... | ||
I can't think of anything I didn't like about this DVD!
When I finished viewing this DVD I wanted to...
Go back and watch from the beginning!
This DVD made me feel...
Fulfilled. It was a long wait between Season 2 and Season 3, two years for most viewers. Those just getting into it now won't have that agony of waiting to see "how he did it." *wink*
The cast of this DVD... | ||
The cast is incredible. All of the actors play their parts brilliantly and the script is very well written. You couldn't ask for better!
I recommend this DVD because...
It's a great show. Like the writers have said, "It's not a detective show, it's a show about a detective." The characters come first, the mysteries second.
Further Comments... | ||
The episodes are quite long, almost movies in themselves, at about 90 minutes each. They don't feel that long upon viewing, but try to have enough time set aside for a full viewing of each episode. The cinematography, it should be noted, is incredible, as well. This show has some of the more creative and fun camera work and special effects that I've seen for a television show!
