Emily the librarian, a girl who's life is described as boring, is suddenly surrounded by evil, and an Angel - her guardian Angel - is sent from Heaven to protect her and solve the mystery.

Michael, the Angel, borrowed a body from a hit man who's life had recently ended and is now on the run himself, and yet, he's the sweetest guy one could imagine. The way he looks at mortals and life is cute and adorable, and of course, he's in love with Emily.

Together, they search out the truth and in doing so fall in love, even though they both know it's forbidden and out of the question, because once they find out who's after Emily, Micheal will have to leave the Earth forever, or does he?

Anyone who likes romance will enjoy this book.

Michael is a wonder to behold. Even though the story is a bit inconsistent and contradicts itself at times, the male character is well worth the read.

I read this book a long time ago, and now I've read it for the second time. There are comments and parts in the book that don't seem real. Even Emily's behavior seems to lack something.

I'd recommend this book to those who truly love this type of writing, but if you're a fan of Jude Deveraux, know that she has much better books out there.
