Summary of this Book...
This is a study of the 2012 Presidential campaign by the same two guys who wrote "Game Change" about the 2008 Presidential Campaign.

It was well written and things are well documented, but it is written from a smug, arrogant point of view.

In light of what I know now about things, it just made me feel a bit sad and nauseated at the end.
This type of Book is good for...
anyone who wants to read a smug, arrogant book by people who are wrong in their presumptions and assumptions about other people.

Obviously, now, we know that the Government (Nanny State) does not know best and Mr. Obama fell down on the job supervising his stupid Affordable Care Act stuff. Kathleen Sebelius is a first class know it all moron who thinks she knows what each of us need.
I especially liked...
the part about Governor Christie. I learned a lot about him. He sounds pretty smart and I think Governors make a lot better presidents than Congresspeople or arrogant Senators.
I didn't like...
the editorial asides, especially about the Affordable Care Act. They were beyond believable. I suppose if the authors want to believe their own lies, they are spot on there.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
listen to some nice music and forget everything political.
This Book made me feel...
nauseated. I am one of the insignificant 5 million or so who buys healthcare on the individual market. I don't appreciate being jerked around by a bunch of dishonest politicians and, in this case, authors who do everything in their power to protect "their" candidate and manipulate the election cycle they report upon.
The author of this Book...
are two guys who hang around MSNBC a lot. That should tell you all you need to know.

I will say that since the Obamacare debacle began (it is still going on) Halpern has the decency to look sheepish. The other guy just looks like someone slapped him with a wet fish.
I don't recommend this Book because...
it is a valentine to a bunch of phoney baloney politicians. Game Change is a much better, and fairer, book.
