Set in the year 2000, but written during the Victorian era, With The Night Mail is a futuristic steampunk adventure.
Zeppelins rule the sky and the postal service reign supreme. Following the trans-Alantic flight of a night mail zep, the novella finishes off with a series of adverts and mini-articles styled for the magazine the 'article' would have been published in.

Steampunk fans, sci-fi & futuristics lovers, anyone who likes the meal-in-a-pill style of futuristic thinking.

The zeppelins-for-sale and such featured after the novella.

The almost complete absence of a plot, but (like so many pieces of this era) it is written in a factual fashion and plot is incidental.

Re-watch something like Back to the Future (esp part III with the steam train).

Amused - the future is never what people think; and yet, flight really is the method of preference for so much now.
