Summary of this Book...
Heather Wells, 28, was a popular, teen, pop singer until she was dropped from her label, dumped by her boyfriend, and cheated out of her money by her own mother. She is now an assistant for a dorm at New York College in hopes of free tuition to find her new path in life. There, she finds herself trying to figure out why innocent girls are dying by what everyone, except Heather, believe to be causing their own deaths by 'elevator surfing'.
This type of Book is good for...
Very light chic-lit, mild mystery.
I especially liked... | ||
This story is not meant for any hard thinking or plot twists. It is extremely light reading and the book is very simple.
I didn't like... | ||
I didn't care for the addition of a song lyric at the beginning of each chapter. I'm not sure why authors add these type of embellishments when they only take the reader out of the story. It seemed for 28, Heather was immature and acted more a teen than her almost 30 years. She is constantly using the word dorm, which she immediately corrects to 'residence hall'. It might have been funny the first two times but it is constant throughout the book. Enough already, I get it!
The author of this Book...

Further Comments... | ||
This is a light, no-thinking type of easy book. I didn't think the humor hit the mark for me and instead of being funny or cute, I found it annoying. The author is extremely popular and has many books available. I'm thinking it just isn't by preference, even for a light read.
