Alternating between lively and thought-provoking, The Antiquated & The Arcane (UK title) melds the usual 3DM mix of celtic-folk-punk and melodic gypsy-folk.

ANYONE who likes dancing. 3DM are lively and entertaining live, and their humour and close-knit affection (for one another and for the crowd) comes across. Love Life (final song) features a 30-strong Cornish (SW England) choir.

She Said - Tim, backed with Athene, sings his way through a broken relationship. Mellow, catchy and surprisingly bitter.
Love (SIC) Fool - completely unlike any other Monkey song, this is just a good natured look at love.
Perfect Stranger - great dancing song.

Days of the Dance - AMAZING live (watching Athene waltz whilst playing the fiddle in a ball gown is ALWAYS awesome), DotD loses a lot on CD.

Carry on dancing.... In the absence of a gig, grab a cider and dance round the house.....

Bouncy. Some of the songs are mellow, even sombre, but the overall Monkey effect kicks in (esp. with Civilised Debauchery, DotD, & Casualties of Tour) and I always, ALWAYS end up twirling round the house.... generally knocking into the laundry as a result...

3 Daft Monkeys (although drummer Rich makes multiple appearances, bringing them up to 4 Daft Monkeys).

A lively, entertaining band (& local to me! Although I had to move several hundred miles away to discover them) who LOVE their music and their way of living; and they want to share this passion with all.

One of their 'airier' albums at first glance (at track 5, DotD is the first lively track & that only starts bouncing after several minutes), 3DM pick up the beat and hit you with some of their crazier lyrics and tunes.

If you've already discovered 3DM, then this album is amazing. If you haven't, try Social Vertigo before you get this one.
