Summary of this Book...
This novel was inspired by a real case that happened in the area that I grew up in. Two young sisters disappeared from a shopping plaza in broad daylight, never to be heard from again.

This really happened in Maryland in 1975. This book is set in the same year, but in a different county, which is a suburb of Baltimore, insstead of the real life suburb of D.C. After 30 years plus, a lady turns up, claiming to be one of the sisters. A lot has changed in 30 years.

This book was a real page turner. I will not give away the ending.

In the original case, to my knowledge, no one ever found out what happened to the girls. I think their dad was a local radio personality. It was very sad. About ten years after this happened, I was at a movie at the same shopping center they disappeared from and had a bunch of stuff taken out of my wallet while in the movie. The thief put the wallet back, taking what he/she wanted and charging a bunch of stuff. I didn't notice the credit card missing until the next day.

The shopping center where the real crime occurred was called Wheaton Plaza. I think it is called something else now, but it always gives me the creeps.
This type of Book is good for...
anyone who enjoys a great mystery. The ending was truly shocking.
I especially liked...
how it all came together at the end. Usually book endings disappoint me. This one was terrific.
This Book made me feel...
sad for the real case that was never solved. (as far as I know)
The author of this Book...
has a great imagination.
Further Comments...
has an odd way of writing about police officers. I am not sure if English is her first language, after reading this book, but she is a great writer.
