Summary of this Book...
This is a rereading of a book I read about 20 years ago. I was not as impressed with it this go round. But it makes the case that Oswald did it and did it alone. Still, I found the number of people connected to the case who died unnatural deaths sort of startling. I think the author ignores things that don't fit his theory, but then again a lot of authors do that.
This type of Book is good for...
anyone interested in the assasination. There is a lot of detail about who did what. I was particularly interested in the circumstances around Officer J.D. Tippit's murder.
I especially liked... | ||
the detail on Oswald. It was interesting that he got the job at the School Book Depository so shortly before the assasination. It was about a month beforehand. At that time there were no plans for a motorcade to go by the building. It sort of fell into his lap. Plus, he was only 24 and pretty stupid. It makes sense that he wanted attention.
I didn't like... | ||
the fact that the author dismisses things he doesn't agree with rather summarily. I also found the voluminous footnotes to be rather a distraction this reading go-round.
This Book made me feel...
like Oswald did it, but I have always felt like there was more to it than just an impulse thing.
The author of this Book...
should have explored the Morenshildt connection more thoroughly.
I recommend this Book because...
it provides a lot of detail and that is always good.
