Summary of this Book...
This book is a collection of tips and scenarios to help flesh out your character. It includes an introduction to the author and mini quizzes for analyzing your character. Basically, the author gives you a scenario and you choose what your character would do from a multiple choice list, and then you read about what that might mean to your character.
This type of Book is good for...
I found this book interesting and somewhat helpful. This book would probably be good for those who are looking to get an idea on what kind of scenarios your characters may face and some of the options and responses they may have as a result.
I especially liked... | ||
There are 'random facts' throughout the book that talk about different facets of a personality that I thought were pretty interesting.
I didn't like... | ||
I didn't really care for the variety of scenarios, as they were pretty simplistic. I don't know if there was a single situation in which an author would ever really use, but on the other hand they are more meant to be examples more than anything.
I recommend this Book because...
Whether you take anything from the actual text or not, this book got me thinking about my own characters and how dimensional they need to be. Even if you don't use the tips or quizzes, it'll still undoubtedly make you think of ways to flesh out your own characters.
