Summary of this DVD... | ||
This is a rock documentary about how rock music developed out of Ireland. I learned a lot that I didn't know. We just got Netflix streaming and this was something that interested both Mr. Hooves and me, as we both enjoy traditional Irish music. There wasn't much of that here, but it was still interesting.
This type of DVD is good for...
anyone interested in the music industry in Ireland.
I especially liked... | ||
Van Morrison. Always have and always will.
I recommend this DVD because...
I learned from it. I didn't know Bob Geldorf's background at all. I didn't even know he was Irish. I enjoyed Bono's commentary on the music scene in a country I love.
Further Comments... | ||
There was only a brief glimpse of The Chieftains, but I enjoyed seeing the Corrs and some of the others who are more in the folk genre than rock. Still, it held my interest for almost two and a half hours so it was pretty good.
