In 2012 a several hundred year Black Prophecy is released, and recognized as a zombie outbreak in London. One man, The Prepper, saw it coming and prepared ahead of time. He is the greeter for this game, helping you and giving you a safe-haven early on.

Zombie die hard fans would probably like this game, but survival seekers would probably like it better.

All zombie games are special in their own way, especially shoot-em-ups. The plus side to this game is the interaction between the television screen and GamePad. Players can graffiti special messages that can only be seen when searched and read with the GamePad. Your Bug-Out Bag is the GamePad, which is pretty innovative. It displays your inventory, maps, and medical supplies. I thought that was pretty handy and fun. I also thought the interaction between friend to friend play was pretty fun. One of the features, for example, is if you become infected (instant death) your friends are notified and can come practice 'mercy' killing on you.

I didn't really care for the perspective. When I play a video game, I like to see my body, even if it's close up. I got a little sea-sick at times both playing and watching this one because I was basically a pair of arms hacking away at zombies. It was almost a little 'too realistic' from a perspective point of view. Also, it really ticked me off that it was so hardcore; when you die, you start as a new character. The only neat thing about this is that your old character becomes part of the game, and it's possible you will come across him or her (with your stuff) at some point later.

ZombiU is a survival horror game that was created for the Wii U's debut and is exclusive to its console. Because of its different game-play, hype, and genre listing (as survival rather than action/horror) it received a mix of reviews. This is not a game to buy on an impulse unless you have $60 USD to blow.
