Summary of this DVD... | ||
Edward is the uncommonly gentle but incomplete final creation of a eccentric and reclusive inventor. The inventor's untimely death leaves Edward alone in a mansion on a hill, with metal blades instead of fingers. After do-gooder Avon lady Peg stumbles across this man-child, she brings him home to her greeting-card-picture of Suburbia. An innocent Edward learns and suffers through his first experiences with the real world.
This type of DVD is good for...
This would be appropriate for Holloween, but it is also a very well-scripted tear-jerker, rather along the lines of 'Pleasantville', or 'American Beauty'
I especially liked... | ||
Creative uses/abuses of Edward's hands.
I didn't like... | ||
N/A-I love this movie. | ||
When I finished viewing this DVD I wanted to...
Go on a Johnny Depp Marathon! Sweeny Todd
This DVD made me feel...
Sad and meloncholy. It is a very touching tale.
The cast of this DVD... | ||
Johnny Depp, Winona Ryder, Dianne Wiest
I recommend this DVD because...
It is a Tim Burton/Johnny Depp classic and a good introduction into their shared working style
I don't recommend this DVD because...
It is a bit sad/dark, so if you're looking for a pick-me-up, this isn't it
